"What is your most favorite city?" If someone ask me like that, of course I'll answer it proudly,
"BLITAR". A small city, without plaza and no more cinemas. My friend from another city said that my city is the place for having peace atmosphere, rilex time. It's suitable for old people who spend the rest of their life LOL Quiet, Peaceful, Relaxed. Even, my family and I stay in the village. No traffic jam, no air pollution. The place where I
was born and grew up. A small city where so many unforgettable memories. Blitar has slogans, "Blitar Kota Patria", "Blitar Kota Peta". A small city, but very popular because there is Bung Karno's (the first president of Indonesia) graveyard. We use to call "Makam Bung Karno (MBK). There's a campursari song described about my city.
Blitar kutho cilik sing kawentar
Edi peni gunung Kelud sing ngayomi
Blitar jaman Jepang nate gempar
Peta brontak sing dipimpin Supriyadi
Blitar Nyimpen awune sang noto
Mojopait ning candi Penataran
Blitar nyimpen layone Bung Karno
Proklamator lan presiden kang kapisan
Ono crito jare Patih Gajah Modo
Ingkang bisa nyawijikne nuswantoro
Lan ugo Bung Karno sing kondang kaloko
Ning tlatah Blitar lair cilik mulo
Ora mokal Blitar dadi kembang lambe
Ora mokal akeh sing podo nyatakne
Yen to geni ngurupake semangate
Yen to banyu nukulake patriote
We know that the largest Buddhist Temple in the world is Borobudur temple which is located in Central Java; and Prambanan temple is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia (located in East Yogyakarta). My city has the largest Hindu temple in East Java, Penataran temple.
My family and I were in Penataran TempleI'm so interested with the pictures which is uploaded by my friend, Ruda Rdp (Kreatif Studio).
(He is one of photographers in Blitar).
It's written in the description, Purnama Seruling Penataran <(PSP). I asked him, What Purnama Seruling Penataran (PSP) is? He explained that it's an artistic performance which is held when full moon is coming. He also tagged me in his pictures. Finally he gave me permission to upload his pictures in my blog. I said I'll use that pictures for promoting our city. He asked to promote him. So, I upload his picture too LOL Lets enjoy the pictures which is taken by Mr. Ruda Rdp.
"Supermoon - Purnama Seruling Penataran". What is Supermoon? You can check it here It's so wonderful, isn't it?
"Janur" (young coconut leaf), stands for Sajatining nur, eternal light. It symbolizes glory and victory. We can see so many torches there. What a beautiful night, with full moon and torches.
"Silent Witness".
Mr. Ruda wrote a poetry to describe this picture.
Dari masa-kemasa,
bulan berganti bulan bnyk cerita yg sudah terlewati,
terik matahari,dan dingin nya pagi....
aku dengar tawa ceria,
juga bisikan pengkianatan
aku melihat jiwa putih maupun hitam
aku juga merasakan,
kebahagiaan maupun penderitaan
smoga saja di hari-hari ku yang smakin tua
hanya senyum dan merasakan cerita bahagia jika semua ingat kembali,
mana yang baik atau benar untuk bangsa Indonesia,
aku berdoa semoga bulan bersinar terang.....
Yeah.... For Indonesia, Mr. Ruda! Keep moving forward!
